AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that he is hopeful of having Brazilian defender Thiago Silva available for Sunday's clash with Inter Milan.

Silva, 27, has been out of action since suffering a thigh problem in March, but is expected to return for the key weekend clash.

"I don't think he will be at our disposal for the Atlanta game but I hope to have him back for the derby, which is more important given what is at stake," Allegri told reporters.

Milan are currently second in Serie A.
