Philipp Lahm wary of wounded Arsenal

Bayern Munich Philipp Lahm tells his teammates not to be fooled by Arsenal's unspectacular start to Group F ahead of the Champions League clash in North London.

Philipp Lahm has warned Bayern Munich that it would be a mistake to read too much into Arsenal's early Champions League form ahead of Tuesday's clash at the Emirates.

It is top versus bottom in Group F as high-flying Bayern look to inflict a third successive defeat on the Gunners, who were undone by Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos in the first two matchdays.

In contrast, Arsene Wenger's side sit second in the Premier League, having scored 11 times in their last three outings, and Lahm says that his teammates should not underestimate the North Londoners.

"Anybody who knows about football also knows that Arsenal are better than the way they have started this season in Europe, with two defeats," Lahm told the Bundesliga's official website.

"They have got some very, very dangerous individuals and certainly it is not going to be easy, but we are ready. We take all of our opponents seriously, otherwise you don't win nine games in a row in the Bundesliga.

"We are going to London two days before the game because you always have a lot of travelling to do in London and you often spend a lot of time in traffic and it takes more than an hour to get to training."

In 2013, Wenger and co beat the Germans - who went on to win the competition - 2-0 in Munich, but exited at the last-16 stage after losing on away goals.

Bayern have won nine straight Bundesliga outings.
