Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas says that Spurs "have to" finish the season above North London rivals Arsenal in the Premier League table.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that his side are determined to finish above Arsenal this season.

The North London rivals go head to head at the Emirates this Saturday with just one point separating the two clubs in the table.

"We have to [finish above Arsenal]," said Villas-Boas. "By what I see in the Premiership, it's obvious that Man United, Man City and Chelsea are running towards the title. We are looking at trying to shorten the gap and not letting it grow."

Spurs currently sit in seventh place with their fierce rivals one spot below them.
