Olivier Giroud targets Premier League success with Arsenal

Arsenal may be able to catch Chelsea and win the Premier League this season, according to Olivier Giroud.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has suggested that his side can win the Premier League title following their 2-1 win over Newcastle United.

The Frenchman scored twice for the Gunners to extend their winning streak to six league games, and he believes that leaders Chelsea are not out of sight, despite their seven-point advantage at the top of the table.

He told reporters: "There's still eight games to play and first we need to win every single one of those. We need to focus on our games and step by step we're going to see.

"We want to finish really strongly, and if we can win our games, then we will see if City or Chelsea miss one of their steps. You never know, you have to believe in football."

Arsenal next face Liverpool in two weeks' time.
