Alexandre Lacazette and Nuno Tavares make the starting lineup for Arsenal's Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Monday night.

Alexandre Lacazette has been named in the starting lineup for Arsenal's Premier League clash with Aston Villa this evening.

The Frenchman has struggled for minutes under Mikel Arteta so far this season but netted the equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game against Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Lacazette provided a bright spark that Arsenal were lacking in that 25-minute cameo against the Eagles, and he has now been rewarded with a place in the first XI for the visit of Villa.

The soon-to-be free agent is joined in the attack by Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with Martin Odegaard dropping down to the bench.

Albert Sambi Lokonga is recalled to the XI despite his mistake for Crystal Palace's second on the night, while Thomas Partey holds his place in the middle of the park.

However, there is no sign of Kieran Tierney in the squad, with Nuno Tavares making his first Premier League start for the Gunners in an otherwise unchanged backline.

Arsenal starting lineup: Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tavares; Partey, Lokonga; Saka, Smith Rowe, Aubameyang; Lacazette
