Barcelona have reportedly cooled their interest in signing Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz this summer.
The 26-year-old has been an important player for the Serie A outfit this season, scoring five goals and registering seven assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.
Ruiz has been strongly linked with a move away from Napoli in recent months with the likes Barca, Real Madrid and Arsenal all allegedly keeping tabs on the Spaniard.
However, Mundo Deportivo claims that the Catalan giants have now distanced themselves from the race to sign Ruiz due to his €80m asking price.
The report adds that Barca head coach Xavi would be interested in adding Ruiz to his squad, but Barca are hoping the midfielder's valuation will drop as he has just over a year remaining on his contract.
The former Real Betis man is believed to be considering a return home to his native Spain in the near future, having spent the last four years in Italy.
