Napoli 'move ahead of Arsenal in Dominik Szoboszlai race'

Napoli move ahead of Arsenal in the race to sign RB Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, according to a report.

Napoli have reportedly moved ahead of Arsenal in the race to sign RB Salzburg midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai during this summer's transfer window.

The 19-year-old has been in excellent form for his Austrian club during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 10 times and registering 17 assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with the Hungary international, but according to Sky Sport Italia, Napoli have moved past the Gunners to the head of the queue.

The report claims that the Italian giants are prepared to pay the midfielder's €25m (£22.6m) release clause and have lined up a meeting with his representatives to discuss a summer deal.

Szoboszlai, who has also been linked with AC Milan, has a contract with Salzburg until May 2022.

Lyon attacker Memphis Depay is also believed to be a summer target for Arsenal as the club line up potential replacements for club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
