Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Villarreal.

Barcelona will be bidding to make it back-to-back wins in La Liga when they travel to Villarreal on Sunday.

The Catalan giants opened their 2023-24 campaign with a goalless draw against Getafe on August 13 before recording a 2-0 victory over Cadiz last time out.

Barcelona are currently sixth in Spain's top flight, boasting four points from two matches, which has left them two points behind early division leaders Real Madrid.

Barcelona confirmed on Thursday that Pedri had suffered a thigh injury, and the midfielder is expected to be on the sidelines until the early stages of October.

Araujo picked up a thigh injury in training last week, and the issue is expected to rule the Uruguay international out of action until the latter stages of next month.
