Barcelona boss Luis Enrique hails "glorious and memorable victory"

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique reveals that he was delighted with his team's "memorable" performance in their 4-0 hammering of Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has praised his side's "glorious and memorable" 4-0 victory over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Luis Suarez scored a brace in the contest while Neymar and Andres Iniesta also found the back of the net as the Catalan club dominated the match to ease to a crushing victory at the home of their bitter rivals.

Enrique told reporters: "A glorious and memorable victory. They're our eternal rivals and we both want to win the same trophies. It really feels good to have played so much better. We did what we set out to do.

When asked if Madrid surrendered, Enrique added: "No, I didn't see it that way. We were simply better than them and we dominated the game.

"We were solid at the back and I think it was more a case of us playing very well than Madrid playing badly."

Enrique's men moved six points clear at the top of La Liga as a result of their commanding win.
