Neil Lennon: "Kris Commons is a master finisher"

Neil Lennon describes Kris Commons as "a master finisher" after the forward took his goal tally to 26 for the season with a hat-trick in the 3-0 victory over Kilmarnock.

Neil Lennon has described Kris Commons as "a master finisher" after the forward scored a hat-trick in Celtic's 3-0 Scottish Premiership win over Kilmarnock.

After being held for the first half at Rugby Park, Commons netted a treble which takes his tally to 26 for the season to earn the Bhoys a convincing victory.

Lennon was delighted with the improvement that his side showed after the interval, and reserved special praise for Scott Brown and match winner Commons.

"I'm thrilled with that second half. We had good energy and quality. It's as good as we've played away from home for a wee while now," he told reporters.

"The second half was sensational, I can't speak highly enough of the team. Commons is a master finisher and Scott Brown was simply awesome.

"We needed the goals. We were a bit slack in the final third first half, but there was a real pizazz about us second half. We don't want to crawl over the line. We want to do it with a bit of style."

Celtic need seven more points to wrap up their third consecutive Scottish title.
