Carlo Ancelotti open to Premier League return

Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti hints that he would be interested in a return to the Premier League following his sacking by Bayern Munich.

Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that he would be open to the idea of returning to the Premier League following his sacking by Bayern Munich.

The three-time Champions League-winning manager was dismissed by Bayern last week following their 3-0 loss at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, having also made a slow start to the defence of their Bundesliga title.

Ancelotti will now take a 10-month break from football, but he revealed that he is eager to return to management either in the Premier League or elsewhere next season.

"I want to manage. Not this season, maybe next season [either] in the Premier League or at another club. The only thing I want to do is to train," he told reporters.

Ancelotti won the Premier League and FA Cup double during his first season at Chelsea in 2009-10.
