Xabi Alonso says that there is "no chance" of him returning to the Premier League this summer.

Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso has reportedly ruled out a return to the Premier League this summer.

The Spaniard had been linked with a move back to former club Liverpool, with Chelsea also said to be interested in the Madrid man.

However, Alonso dismissed the rumours of a transfer back to England, meaning that he is likely to stay with Los Blancos.

"A return to the Premier League? No. No way, no chance," the Daily Mail quotes Alonso as saying.

Meanwhile, Alonso recently revealed that he believes current Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will lead the Reds back to the Champions League.
