Hulk: 'I'll never sign for Chelsea'

Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk insists that he will 'never' consider joining Chelsea.

Brazil striker Hulk has insisted that he will never move to Chelsea or Real Madrid, claiming that there is 'no point' in joining such a big club.

The 28-year-old was linked with a move to both Stamford Bridge and the Bernabeu in the summer of 2012 after scoring 54 goals in 99 games for Porto.

However, the striker shunned the advances of both clubs, instead joining Zenit St Petersburg for £39.5m.

"Of course I know that some clubs command more attention than others, but the important thing is I'm happy," Hulk told Globoesporte.

"There's no use going to Real Madrid or Chelsea and then lacking opportunities to play. Whether it is a big club or not, I know there are clubs that will always have their eyes on me."

Since joining the Russian side, Hulk has scored 32 goals in 56 games, and was voted the Russian Premier League's best player in the 2012-13 season.
