Florent Malouda proud of Chelsea achievements

Former Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda insists that he is proud of his seven-year spell with the club.

Former Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda has insisted that he is proud of his achievements at the club.

The Frenchman, who was made a free agent last week, failed to make a first-team appearance for the Blues in the 2012-13 season.

"It's been a real pleasure and an honor to wear the blue shirt for five years," Malouda told his official website.

"Over the five years I've defended the club's colors, I've really enjoyed the great moments I lived amongst players and technical staff with the aim to deserve the daily support from our loyal fans, and I always tried to make them proud."

Malouda won the Premier League title, three FA Cups and the Champions League after moving to Chelsea from Lyon in 2007.
