Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish is pleased that the club have proved how serious they are about keeping hold of their talent.

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish is delighted that the club managed to back up their firm 'not for sale' stance regarding their young stars.

The Eagles' have a strong reputation for developing young players from academy level through to their first team.

Local pair Nathanial Clyne and Wilfried Zaha were both linked with moves to the Premier League during the transfer window, but the Palace hierarchy maintained that neither would be sold.

Parish told the club's official website :"It's been well documented that we've had bids for players, but nothing that's even got our attention.

"We've managed to keep hold of all our top stars and I think we've laid down a marker that we're not a club that needs to sell our best players just to get by. That's not where we are."

Clyne and Zaha have both represented England at Under-19 level.
