Neil Warnock: 'Crystal Palace won't plummet after Tony Pulis exit'

Neil Warnock says that he doesn't agree with the critics who think that Crystal Palace will "plummet" following the departure of Tony Pulis.

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock believes that his team are capable of retaining their Premier League status, despite the departure of Tony Pulis.

The Eagles were left scrambling for a new boss just two days before the start of the season last month after Pulis opted to leave his position.

The former Stoke City boss saved Palace from relegation and guided them to 11th place in the table last season after arriving at Selhurst Park midway through the campaign.

"I think they had a great time with Tony," Warnock told reporters. "I'm sure certain people think we might plummet now we've got new people on board but I don't see that.

"I look at where these players finished in the league table and I think they warranted that. If anything I think we're even better now."

Palace have recorded two defeats and one draw in the league so far this season.
