Neil Lennon's side take on St Mirren in the Ladbrokes Premiership at Easter Road on Wednesday night.

Assistant manager Garry Parker revealed a fun approach was taken towards Hibernian training in a bid to end a six-game run without a victory.

Neil Lennon's side take on St Mirren in the Ladbrokes Premiership at Easter Road on Wednesday night looking for the first victory since a 6-0 home thrashing of Hamilton on October 6.

Parker believes confidence is a problem for the Easter Road side who have lost four of the six matches and he told HibsTV how they have gone about making a positive change.

He said: "We trained yesterday and today, kept it nice and short, had a bit of fun with them to lift them up because they are good players low on confidence at the moment. But nothing that a win wouldn't put right.

"We are ready for tomorrow we need to put in a performance because it has not been good.

"We just need a win. It has gone on too long, four or five weeks since we have won a game but we are ready to go out there tomorrow and put things right.

"Sometimes you just need the three points and to kick on from there."

Former St Mirren midfielder Stevie Mallan believes a victory over his old side could turn the tide back in Hibs' favour.

The 22-year-old said: "We are one win away from picking everyone up and starting afresh.

"I wouldn't say anything has changed on or off the pitch, the results just haven't gone our way like they did at the start of the season, when we went seven games unbeaten.

"We need a win just now and we will do everything we can to get it.

"If we put in a good performance and get a win it will breed confidence back in the squad."
