Juventus striker Alessandro Matri has underlined the importance of his side's 3-0 victory over Palermo this afternoon.

The Italian international found the net against the Sicily-based outfit, sandwiched by goals from Simone Pepe and Claudio Marchisio.

"It was a nice win for us, we played really well and showed great focus for all of our goals," Matri told Sky Sport Italia.

"It was important to bring home the three points and we are satisfied with the way we played."

Next up for Serie A leaders Juve is a match against second-placed Lazio.
