Neil Warnock has reportedly held talks with Ken Bates over the Leeds United job.
The pair were pictured together in Monaco on Friday afternoon by The Sun.
The Elland Road club have been on the lookout for a new boss following Simon Grayson's sacking last month. Neil Redfearn has taken charge of the side in the interim.
Warnock had been tipped as a potential successor to Mick McCarthy at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, the former Queens Park Rangers coach admitted that the Leeds vacancy was a "great job" earlier this month.
