Thursday's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup: Harry Wilson, Sadio Mane, Ousmane Dembele

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Liverpool on Thursday, September 24.

The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Liverpool eye possible reinforcements.

Jurgen Klopp's champions have not been particularly busy during recent windows, but that has not stopped the rumour mill from linking them with additions.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.

Thursday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:

Liverpool ready to sell Harry Wilson to Burnley?

Liverpool are reportedly ready to allow Harry Wilson to sign for Burnley on a permanent basis.

Despite having enjoyed a productive campaign on loan at Bournemouth last season, the Wales international does not feature in the long-term plans of Jurgen Klopp.

That has led to the 23-year-old being heavily linked with a switch to the likes of Leeds United and Aston Villa.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Burnley have stepped in to win the race for Wilson, who will cost in the region of £15m.

Although discussions are still taking place between the relevant parties, the transfer is expected to be finalised in the coming days.

The Clarets are also ready to complete the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Dale Stephens.

Liverpool 'want Sadio Mane to convince Kalidou Koulibaly to move to Anfield'

Liverpool are reportedly hopeful that Sadio Mane can help convince Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly to snub interest from elsewhere to make the move to Anfield.

Koulibaly continues to be linked with a move away from Naples, and Manchester City are believed to be at the head of the queue for the Senegal international.

However, according to Le Parisien, Jurgen Klopp's side have not given up hope of signing the defender this summer as a partner for Virgil van Dijk.

The report claims that the Premier League champions could call upon Mane in a bid to convince his international teammate to make the move to Merseyside.

Liverpool are said to be happy with their summer business at this stage, but the club are short of options in central defence following Dejan Lovren's exit.

Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso recently conceded that Koulibaly was likely to leave the Italian giants before the end of the transfer window if a suitable offer arrived.
