Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard: 'No fallout with Brendan Rodgers'

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard insists that he and manager Brendan Rodgers have not fallen out following reports that he had been angered by being dropped.

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has rubbished reports of a fallout between him and Reds manager Brendan Rodgers.

Recent reports suggested that Gerrard was angry with Rodgers for not starting him on the 16th anniversary of his Liverpool debut yesterday, but the Red captain has posted on his Instagram account to clarity the situation.

"Just to set the record straight media talk of a fall out between us 2 is NONSENSE ..have a nice Sunday 👍#together#solid#ynwa," Gerrard wrote as a caption on the below photo.

Rodgers admitted after yesterday's 1-0 win over Stoke City that he had no idea of the significance of the date to Gerrard and said that he felt bad for not starting him.
