Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has revealed that he is in talks with the club over a new contract.
The 24-year-old, who joined the Reds from Swansea City for £15m in 2012, has just over two years remaining on his current deal at Anfield.
Despite admitting that negotiations are at an early stage, Allen is confident that he will pen fresh terms with the Merseysiders.
"We're at the early stages at the moment but the signs are good," the Wales international is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "From my point of view I'm looking to commit my future here and hopefully I can be here for years to come.
"For me it's just a case of playing regularly and putting in consistent performances. I've always been confident that with that I'll able to be successful here."
Allen has made over 80 appearances for Liverpool during his time at the club.
