Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Kasper Schmeichel from Leicester City in January.
The Reds brought Loris Karius to Anfield during the summer, but questions have been raised over the 23-year-old's form and he has been left on the bench for recent victories over Middlesbrough and Everton.
Simon Mignolet, who was the club's number one until Karius's arrival, has kept back-to-back clean sheets in those two games, but the Liverpool Echo reports that Jurgen Klopp is still unsatisfied with his goalkeeping options.
The report goes on to claim that Klopp has identified Schmeichel, who was an ever-present when Leicester won the Premier League title last season, as a potential target in January.
However, the 30-year-old is thought to have a £20m asking price, which could dissuade Liverpool from making a move.
