Serie A rivals AC Milan and Inter Milan reportedly prepare to go head-to-head in an attempt to sign Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli.

AC Milan and Inter Milan are reportedly preparing to go head-to-head in an attempt to sign Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli.

The 22-year-old, who joined City from Inter for a fee of £24m in 2010, has failed to score in nine Premier League matches this season and is said to be unsettled at the Etihad Stadium.

Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be very keen on Balotelli, however, according to The Sun, the player would prefer a return to Italy, where his partner is pregnant with his first child.

Balotelli scored 20 goals in 59 Serie A appearances for Inter between 2007 and 2010.
