Rio Ferdinand says that he would be "delighted" to add an FA Cup victory to his list of achievements before retiring.

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has expressed his desire to clinch the FA Cup in the upcoming season.

While the 34-year-old has a hoard of medals to his name, including six Premier League titles, Ferdinand is yet to add the FA Cup to his name.

"It is something that gets on my nerves a little bit but this year hopefully I can win it," he told PA.

"If I retire I don't think it is something that would really kill me but if we won it I would be delighted."

Ferdinand was banned from United's 2004 FA Cup final victory due to a missed drugs test.
