According to reports, Real Madrid want to sign Javier Hernandez, who has become frustrated at Manchester United.

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez the chance to leave England for La Liga.

According to The Mirror, Hernandez has become increasingly frustrated at his lack of appearances in big matches.

It is clear that manager Sir Alex Ferguson sees Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney as his preferred strike-partnership and Madrid are monitoring the situation.

The report suggests that while United do not want the Mexican international to leave, they have been looking at potential replacements and are ready to battle Bayern Munich for the signature of Polish forward Robert Lewandowski.

Madrid were apparently interested in Hernandez when he signed for United in 2010, and have been keeping an eye on him ever since.

It is thought that their prolonged interest back in 2011 forced United's hand, and the club gave Hernandez a pay-rise and contract extension.
