David Moyes: 'Marouane Fellaini to return next week'

Manchester United manager David Moyes says that midfielder Marouane Fellaini may be able to return to training with the team next week.

David Moyes has revealed that Marouane Fellaini could return to training with Manchester United next week.

The Belgian international has been out since last month, having undergone surgery to correct a long-standing wrist issue.

The manager told MUTV: "Fellaini will have the cast taken off his hand on Monday. It was a serious wrist injury which needed a major operation.

"It was bad. He had to make sure he got it sorted properly otherwise it might have affected him for the rest of his life.

"He has been able to do lots of running and lots of training but nothing with a football. Hopefully next week we will get him back."

Fellaini has made 14 appearances since following Moyes from Everton to Old Trafford during the summer, scoring one goal.
