Luke Shaw is close to putting pen to paper on a five-year deal at Manchester United worth £190,000 a week, according to a report.

Luke Shaw is reportedly a step closer to committing his future to Manchester United as his new £50m contract has been given the seal of approval by Jose Mourinho.

The England full-back is due to see his existing deal expire at the end of the season, meaning that he is free to open negotiations with foreign clubs from January.

Following lengthy talks between Shaw and United, however, The Sun suggests that an agreement has been reached to tie the 23-year-old down until 2023.

Mourinho is happy with the money being offered to Shaw, it is claimed, with the defender expected to be rewarded with wages of £190,000 a week at Old Trafford.

United hope to have the former Southampton ace back for their trip to Chelsea at the weekend following his recent layoff with an ankle injury.
