Report: Atletico Madrid want Luciano Vietto

A report claims that Atletico Madrid have joined the race to sign Villarreal forward Luciano Vietto.

Atletico Madrid have reportedly joined the race for Villarreal's in-demand forward Luciano Vietto.

The 21-year-old, who has also been linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United, is expected to spark a transfer scramble this summer.

The Argentine joined Villarreal from Racing Club last summer and has netted 20 goals in 42 games for the Yellow Submarine this season.

According to Marca, Atletico will attempt to use their strong relationship with Villarreal in a bid to beat a host of other clubs to Vietto's signature.

The youngster, who has been compared to his fellow countryman Sergio Aguero, is believed to have a buy-out clause in the region of £30m.
