Ole Gunnar Solskjaer not looking to add players in January

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits that it will be a quiet January transfer window for the club.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that he is happy with his squad ahead of the January transfer window.

The Red Devils failed to complete a move for Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho over the summer but still managed to sign the likes of Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Donny van de Beek.

Amad Diallo will arrive at Old Trafford at the start of 2021, providing that a work permit can be secured, but Solskjaer has conceded that it will otherwise be a quiet month for the 20-time English champions.

"It's hard to predict what the financial situation is, if teams need to sell or if they have got money to buy. I don't predict a lot of ins and outs, to be fair," Solskjaer told reporters.

"The world, financially, and football world has changed as well, it depends what the injury situations are at teams.

"I feel very happy with my squad, we're getting stronger. I still have issues every week when we only have an 18-man squad: who do I leave out? I feel we're in a good position."

United will be looking to make it four straight wins in all competitions when they travel to Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
