Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is reportedly desperate for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to arrive at the Bernabeu during this summer's transfer window.
The France international continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Madrid are thought to have a long-standing interest in the 2018 World Cup winner, with Zidane identifying the 27-year-old as the perfect player to improve his midfield.
However, according to AS, while the Madrid boss wants Pogba, club president Florentino Perez and the board believe that Napoli's Fabian Ruiz would be a more worthwhile signing.
Ruiz, who is also thought to be interesting Barcelona, Manchester City and Liverpool, has impressed for his Italian club since leaving Real Betis in 2018.
Los Blancos have reportedly placed their summer transfer plans on hold for the time being, though, due to the coronavirus outbreak.
