Newcastle United plot second Swansea City swoop for Bafetimbi Gomis?

Newcastle United are reportedly eyeing Swansea City's Bafetimbi Gomis, just a matter of days after they signed Jonjo Shelvey from the Welsh club.

Newcastle United have reportedly added a second Swansea City player to their list of transfer targets.

Earlier this week the Magpies secured the services of Swansea midfielder Jonjo Shelvey in a deal thought to be worth £12m.

According to the Daily Mail, the Welsh club's centre-forward Bafetimbi Gomis is now also on Newcastle's radar.

The report adds that Newcastle boss Steve McClaren will turn to the Frenchman if he is unsuccessful in his pursuit of other strikers.

Gomis, who is said to have a £7m release clause in his contract, has also recently been linked with a switch to the Middle East.
