Report: Papiss Cisse to leave Newcastle United

A report claims that Senegal international Papiss Cisse will leave Newcastle United in January.

Papiss Cisse is reportedly heading for the exit door at Newcastle United.

The 29-year-old has scored nine league goals in 14 games for the Magpies this season, but there have been question marks over his commitment to the cause.

According to The Mirror, the Senegal international is keen to depart St James' Park in January and there is no shortage of interested clubs.

Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Swansea City are all said to be in the running, while Galatasaray have also been credited with an interest.

Cisse will miss Newcastle's next three games after receiving a suspension from the Football Association for an elbow on Everton's Seamus Coleman during his side's 3-2 win over the Toffees on Sunday.
