Having finished runners-up on two occasions, PSG are hoping that 2023 is the year where they can win their first Champions League trophy.

After winning three and drawing one of their six group games, the French side had to settle for second place, finishing six points adrift of group winners Chelsea.

PSG can draw upon their previous success in the Champions League, having won six of their seven quarter-final ties.

Incidentally, PSG eliminated a German side at this stage of the competition last term, claiming a 4-3 aggregate victory over Bayern Munich after extra time.

Since drawing 2-2 with Montpellier in November, PSG have recorded seven consecutive home victories in all competitions, keeping five clean sheets in that period.

Wolfsburg are one of two teams who progressed through the group stage without suffering defeat, after winning four and drawing two of their six group games.

Impressively, die Wölfinnen have now reached the Women's Champions League quarter-finals in each of the last 11 seasons.

Although they have lost three of their previous six last-eight appearances, Wolfsburg managed to progress to the semi-finals last term after beating Arsenal 3-1 on aggregate.

Tommy Stroot's side began March with a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Hoffenheim, but they have bounced back to win their last two matches by a combined 9-1 scoreline.

The signs are positive for Wolfsburg, who are yet to lose on their travels this season and have won 12 of their 13 competitive away games, scoring at least two goals in each of those victories.

Team News

PSG are unable to call upon long-term absentees Paulina Dudek, Barbora Votikova and Marie-Antoinette Katoto, while Amanda Ilestedt is expected to miss out with an ankle injury.

Sarah Bouhaddi, Li Mengwen and Oriane Jean-Francois dropped down to the bench for Saturday's cup win over Thonon Evian, but the trio may return to the starting lineup for the first leg.

Kadidiatou Diani will look to add to the 25 goals that she has scored this season when she leads the line against Wolfsburg.

As for the visitors, they will be without the services of Lena Oberdorf, who sustained a knee injury in Friday's 5-0 win over Turbine Potsdam.

With Oberdorf sidelined for Wolfsburg, Jill Roord may drop back into a deeper role to partner Lena Lattwein in defensive midfield.

After being left out of Friday's lineup, Lynn Wilms, Alex Popp and Ewa Pajor will return to the starting XI on Wednesday.

Paris Saint-Germain Women possible starting lineup:
Bouhaddi; Li, Georgieva, De Almeida, Lawrence; Jean-Francois, Hamraoui, Geyoro; Martens, Baltimore, Diani

Wolfsburg Women possible starting lineup:
Frohms; Wilms, Hendrich, Janssen, Rauch; Lattwein, Roord; Huth, Popp, Jonsdottir; Pajor

We say: Paris Saint-Germain Women 2-2 Wolfsburg Women

Wolfsburg have not lost a competitive away game this season, and we think that they will use the confidence built from that impressive record to hold PSG to a draw.
