Peterborough United today signed striker Conor Washington from Newport County for an undisclosed fee, with Shaun Jeffers moving in the opposite direction.
Washington, 21, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Posh after netting seven goals in 32 games for the Football League's newest club Newport.
Jeffers, also 21, only joined Peterborough earlier this season in October, scoring three goals in 13 appearances for Posh.
Washington's former club St Ives will receive part of the transfer fee paid as part of a sell-on clause.
