Adel Taarabt says that there is no truth in the rumours that he will quit Queens Park Rangers if Joey Barton is not sacked.

Adel Taarabt is reportedly furious with rumours that he will not play alongside Queens Park Rangers teammate Joey Barton.

It has been reported that the Moroccan would quit Loftus Road if the midfielder was not sacked for his meltdown during Rangers' final Premier League game of the season against Manchester City.

However, Taarabt is now believed to have rubbished these claims, according to The Sun.

Barton is currently under investigation following the controversial scenes at the Etihad Stadium.

The 29-year-old has already incurred a 12-game ban and a £75,000 fine as punishment by the Football Association.
