Gianfranco Zola is a candidate to replace Neil Warnock at Queens Park Rangers.

Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola is a surprise candidate to replace Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock at Loftus Road, according to reports.

Warnock, whose side have taken two points from their last eight Premier League games, needed a late Heidar Helguson goal to avoid elimination from the FA Cup at League One side MK Dons this weekend.

Warnock is expecting that he will be sacked at some point this month after the club's owner warned that "no one job is safe" earlier this week, according to The People.

Former West Ham boss Zola, who has been out of work since leaving Upton Park over 18 months ago after two seasons in charge, is understood to be on the Loftus Road outfit's radar, as is Mark Hughes.
