Reading midfielder Aaron Kuhl has joined Dundee United on a loan deal until January 4.
The 19-year-old made eight senior appearances for the Royals last season but is yet to feature for the Championship outfit during the current campaign.
"Aaron had an outstanding season for our U21s last season and deserves the chance to play first-team football in this year," Reading boss Steve Clarke told the club's official website.
"Although he trained with the first team on many occasions since I came to Reading he wasn't able to force his way into our team, not because of his qualities, but because of our strength in depth in that particular area of the pitch. Now at Dundee United he will get the experience and game time that he needs at this stage of his development."
Kuhl could make his Dundee debut on September 12 when Jackie McNamara's side host Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.
