Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has revealed that a move to Italian giants Roma is "on standby".
The reported Arsenal target has claimed that a switch to the Italian capital should have been finalised in the summer, but says that the transfer is edging toward its completion.
"It [a move to Roma] should really have been done this summer," the 19-year-old told Canal Plus. "I don't understand why I am not there.
"I heard that I wanted to leave because of competition [at PSG] but that's not it.
"Roma is another sports project with the Champions League but now it's on standby. We'll see in the coming weeks what can happen."
It was reported on Sunday that Dutch outfit Ajax were favourites to land the unsettled Frenchman, who is yet to feature for Les Parisiens this season.
