Sevilla draw Valencia in Europa League semi-finals

Sevilla are drawn Spanish rivals Valencia in the semi-finals of the Europa League, while Benfica will take on Serie A side Juventus.

An all-Spanish tie will take place in the Europa League semi-finals as Sevilla and Valencia have been drawn to go head to head in the final four.

Sevilla booked their place in the next round following a 4-2 aggregate win over Porto in the quarter-finals.

For Valencia, it was a dramatic feat to reach the semi-finals after they appeared to be down and out following a 3-0 defeat to Basel in the first leg of their final-eight tie.

However, the Spanish outfit forced the second leg into extra time after getting three goals back, before eventually securing a 5-3 aggregate win by netting twice in the second half of extra time.

Benfica and Juventus, who have met each other twice before in European competition, were drawn together in Nyon for the second semi-final of the tournament.

Benfica reached the final four with a 3-0 win over AZ across two legs, while Juventus snatched a 3-1 aggregate victory over Lyon.
