Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies back to full fitness

Tottenham defender Ben Davies reveals that he is back to full fitness after recovering from a dislocated shoulder.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has revealed that he is back to full fitness following a dislocated shoulder.

The 22-year-old was forced to miss the final month of last season after suffering the problem against Southampton on April 25.

However, having joined his teammates for their first day of full pre-season training, Davies is now looking forward to the new campaign.

"It was always my aim to be with the group as soon as they were back in for pre-season, to be ready to go, and that work has paid off," the Wales international told the club's official website.

"I've done a lot of work, a lot of tests on both shoulders and I've got myself back to where I want to be. That's a good feeling.

"It's a huge thing for me because I wanted to hit the ground running and not fall behind the other lads, so it's a lovely feeling to be in a position to get the boots back on."

Tottenham start the new Premier League season away to Manchester United on August 8.
