Danny Rose has admitted that he has been frustrated by a lack of starting action at Tottenham Hotspur this season.
The 21-year-old, who has acted as cover for Benoit Assou-Ekotto, made his first Premier League start of the season during Tottenham's 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Sunday afternoon.
Despite the weekend's appearance, Rose has revealed that he would have preferred to have left the club on a loan basis.
"It's been very frustrating," he told reporters. "I've wanted to go out on loan at the start of the season and in January but I wasn't allowed.
"It looks like I'm in the team for the last four games now so I've got to play well.
"I haven't been happy. That's been no secret. The team doesn't get rotated that much."
Rose joined Spurs in 2007 from Leeds United.
