League One Stevenage hold out against Tottenham Hotspur to force an FA Cup replay at White Hart Lane.

League One side Stevenage held Tottenham Hotspur to a 0-0 draw during this afternoon's FA Cup round five tie at Broadhall Way.

Stevenage, who entered into the match as the lowest ranked team in the competition following the exit of Crawley Town, found goalscoring chances hard to come by before the break.

Premier League side Spurs also struggled to create many opportunities, with the best chance falling to full-back Kyle Walker, who headed wide Danny Rose's cross in the 32nd minute.

Spurs started the second half brightly and went close to breaking the deadlock in the 46th minute. Gareth Bale broke free of the Stevenage defence but his low effort was tipped wide by Stevenage goalkeeper Chris Day.

Louis Saha thought he had opened the scoring for Spurs eight minutes later, but his goalbound effort was turned in by Scott Parker, who was in an offside position.

Stevenage midfielder Joel Byrom tested Cudicini from distance as the home side continued to search for an upset.

However, neither side were able to find a winning goal in the closing stages and the two teams will meet again at White Hart Lane to determine who advances through to the quarter-finals.
