Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs have made just one signing during 2018 with Lucas Moura joining from Paris Saint-Germain, but boss Mauricio Pochettino is likely to be keen on fresh additions in the upcoming transfer windows.
According to Marca, Spurs hold an interest in Asensio, who is continuing to fail to build on a promising start to his professional career at the Bernabeu.
The 22-year-old - who holds a long-term contract at the European champions - has contributed just one goal and one assist in 19 outings in La Liga and the Champions League this season.
Spurs would have to spend big and break their transfer record in order to sign the Spaniard, but the report claims that Asensio intends to remain at Real for the foreseeable future.
