New Zealand international midfielder Cameron Howieson makes St Mirren switch

Former Burnley midfielder Cameron Howieson signs a one-year contract with Scottish Championship side St Mirren.

New Zealand international midfielder Cameron Howieson has joined Scottish Championship side St Mirren on a one-year deal.

The 20-year-old had been without a club after being released by Burnley last season.

Howieson has won nine caps for New Zealand since 2012.

The youngster could make his St Mirren debut on Saturday when they face Berwick Rangers in the Scottish Challenge Cup.
