Half-Time Report: Bafetimbi Gomis heaps misery on Sunderland

Bafetimbi Gomis scores as Swansea City lead away at Sunderland at half time in the Premier League.

Swansea City have a 1-0 lead over Sunderland at half time of their Premier League encounter this afternoon.

Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis had efforts saved from outside the box but Sunderland remained defensively rigid early on, which will have pleased manager Dick Advocaat after their first two games of the season, in which they conceded seven times.

Ayew went close to scoring just after the half-hour mark with a shot that went just past the post from the edge of the box, before Sunderland's Danny Graham had an overhead kick saved by Lukas Fabianski.

Swansea took the lead in injury time though, as Kyle Naughton played Gomis through on goal and he comfortably slotted it into the back of the net.
