Paul Caddis admits that he wants to turn his loan move from Swindon Town to Birmingham City into a permanent one.

Loanee defender Paul Caddis has revealed that he would like to join Birmingham City on a permanent basis.

The right-back joined the Blues on a season-long loan deal from Swindon Town during the summer, with striker Adam Rooney moving in the opposite direction.

As a result of a disagreement with Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio, Caddis feels that his future remains with the Championship club.

"I am here to the end of the season," said Caddis. "We will need to wait and see what happens.

"The window opens in January, but I don't think I will be welcomed back in Swindon. So I will be looking to try to get myself a permanent move here."

Caddis recently returned to the Birmingham squad following shoulder surgery.
