Trabzonspor were on the receiving end of a narrow 2-1 defeat against Hatayspor in the sides' encounter at the Yeni Hatay Stadyumu on Saturday afternoon.

Abdullah Avci's men opened the scoring early on through Enis Bardhi after which second-half goals from Ayoub El Kaabi and Bertug Yildirim turned the match on its head.

Nuri Sahin's men fell behind to Umut Nayir's opener but managed to forge ahead through goals from Sam Larsson and Guray Vural, after which Onur Ayik restored parity just shy of the hour mark, before Fredy had the last say with a late winner.

Picking up their first league win since November, the Scorpions have now moved up to 13th place in the standings, opening up a two-point gap over the bottom three.

Currently on a run of just one victory in their last seven outings on the road, Wednesday's visitors will be keen to turn their away fortunes around heading into the second half of the season.

Trabzonspor's duo of Serkan Asan and Dorukhan Tokoz are both unavailable for Wednesday's affair as they continue to nurse long-term knee injuries.

Edin Visca also misses out due to a collarbone injury, while Marek Hamsik is yet to fully recuperate from a calf problem which saw him fail to feature last time out.

Luiz Adriano remains suspended after the Brazilian received his marching orders in the final knockings of Antalyaspor's defeat to Galatasaray.

The away side are also set to be without the services of forwards Houssan Ghacha and Haji Wright, who are currently down with muscle injuries.
