Experienced goalkeeper Steve Harper has revealed that he has had offers from "a couple of Championship clubs" this summer, but is in no rush to decide his future.
The 41-year-old is available on a free transfer after leaving Sunderland at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, and the stopper has been working with Middlesbrough's academy during the off-season.
Harper, who has also represented Newcastle United and Hull City, has claimed that he has offers to drop down into the Championship, but will "give it another few weeks" before making a decision.
"I've been coaching at Middlesbrough's academy and I had a couple of Championship clubs call me last week as well. We'll see. It has to tick all the boxes for me now at the age of 41 and being a bit of a home bird. I'll give it another few weeks and see what happens," Harper told talkSPORT.
Harper has made 289 senior appearances, 199 of which came for Newcastle between 1998 and 2011.
