West Bromwich Albion have opened talks with Spartak Moscow over the £9m transfer of striker Yura Movsisyan, reports suggest.
The Armenia international caught the eye of several Premier League clubs with 16 goals last season, but the Baggies are now in the driving seat, according to talkSPORT.
Despite their failure to secure a replacement for sacked manager Pepe Mel, the Hawthorns outfit have identified Movsisyan as a top target this summer.
The report also suggests that funds will be available for a new manager, although how much could depend on whether or not sought-after midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu leaves the club.
Movsisyan has two years left on his contract, but is said to be keen to play in England after a disappointing season for Spartak.
